Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia, and also its biggest city. The city stretches over an area of 95 square miles and has a population in excess of 1.7 million. Kuala Lumpur is considered to be the fastest growing city in Malaysia, both in terms of population and economy.

Kuala Lumpur has made a real effort to upscale its profile in recent years and, as such, has hosted a series of international cultural, political and sporting events including a Formula One World Championship and the 1998 Commonwealth Games. Kuala Lumpur boasts the world's two tallest buildings, the Petronas Twin Towers. Perhaps the city's most prominent feature is the large valley known as Klang Valley.

Starhill Gallery
The Starhill Gallery is a luxury shopping mall in Jalan Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur. There is over 30,000 sq ft housing more than 100 fine watches, exclusive fashion brands, top quality restaurants and wine bars, the world's largest urban retreat (beauty, health and relaxation) and various art galleries. The design of the Starhill Gallery attracts as many visitors as the shopping experience, although the latter is an experience in itself. The restaurants are located on the basement floor and there is a wide variety of tastes to suit all palettes.

Central Market
Central Market stands at the same location as the old open wet market which first appeared in 1888. In the early 20th century, following the success of the wet market, a structure was erected in order to house the vendors. Around 1930 the building underwent further works and became the current structure available for viewing now. Towards the end of the 1970's the building was renovated but much of its original facade remained intact.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport is built on one of the world's largest airport sites, spanning over 100 kilometres. The airport was opened to the public on 1st January 1996 and boasts a number of efficient and modern design features. 

The airport contains two terminals and further satellite terminal, as well as virtual extension of the airport at the KL City Air Terminal, a facility offering check-in services at the main transport hub in Kuala Lumpur city centre. 

The airport offers visitors a wide variety of facilities including free wireless internet, prayer rooms, showers and a massage service. A movie lounge is also available, as well as 85,000 square metres of retail space and nearly 100 food and beverage outlets.
