In the pages below, find out how you can book a flight and train in one ticket.

We are pleased to offer a wider network to our guests at greater, convenience; we have teamed up with French National Railway (SNCF) to provide guests with rail connectivity beyond Paris.

When flying with Etihad Airways to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), now means guests can opt for an onward connection on SNCF’s 2,000km of high-speed TGV rail routes to 19 cities around the country (see full list below).

TGV stands for Train à Grande Vitesse, meaning high-speed train, and is operated by SNCF. This also means, guests can travel on TGV routes from 19 cities in France to Paris for onward flights with Etihad.
This seamless air-rail connection can be made in one booking on our website, via our global contact centres or through a travel agent.

Go to Etihad.com and select the city you wish to fly from and select any one of the 19 cities listed below as your destination. The same concept applies in reverse for guests travelling from one of these French cities to any applicable Etihad destination. An air-rail booking is considered a codeshare journey with one rail sector operated by SNCF.

For air-rail tickets, guests must make the booking at least 72 hours before departure and no stopovers are allowed in Paris.

As part of our ongoing commitment to offer a wider network to our guests and at greater convenience, we have teamed up with German rail (Deutsche Bahn) to provide guests with rail connectivity beyond Frankfurt, Munich, Dusseldorf and Berlin.

When flying with Etihad Airways to Frankfurt International Airport (FRA), Munich International Airport (MUC),Dusseldorf International Airport (DUS) or Berlin-Tegel International Airport (TXL), guests can opt for an onward connection on Deutsche Bahn rail network to any of the 5,600 German train stations it serves.

In reverse, guests can travel on Deutsche Bahn routes from cities in Germany to Frankfurt, Munich, Dusseldorf or Berlin for onward flights with Etihad.

This seamless air-rail connection can be made in one booking on our website, via our global contact centres or through a travel agent.

Go to Etihad.com and select the city you wish to fly from in the ‘origin’ drop-down menu and select ‘Rail n Fly’ in the destination drop-down menu. The same concept applies in reverse; Guests travelling from German cities served by Deutsche Bahn select ‘Rail n Fly’ in the origin drop-down menu and the city of their choice in the destination drop-down menu.

Continue through the booking process as normal but be warned that the Deutsche Bahn train times displayed in the booking engine are fictitious. You will need to check with Deutsche Bahn directly for the right schedule. However, the Etihad flight times are correct, and you must be at the airport at least two hours before departure.

Note that air-rail tickets can only be printed up to 72 hours before each flight departure. Using the reference number on this ticket, you can obtain your rail ticket from a self-service machine at any Deutsche Bahn train station.

When making a Deutsche Bahn air-rail booking with Etihad, please note that in one all-inclusive fare you may choose to depart from or arrive at any of the 5,600 German train stations that Deutsche Bahn serves.
