What is the selection process?
All CVs are reviewed by our recruitment team and only shortlisted candidates are contacted for telephone interviews, followed by formal interviews if applicable.
How long does the application process take?
Depending on the position you applied for, you can expect to hear from our recruitment team within a reasonable time period. We endeavour to get back to you within two weeks of the closing date of the position.
Will I have to fly to Abu Dhabi for an interview?
If you have been successful in the initial selection and screening process, you may be required to visit our Headquarters in Abu Dhabi for final interviews.
If I am contacted for an interview, what kind of interview will I receive?
The interview format will very much depend on the position which you are applying for. Assessments could range from skills tests, competency based interviews and job related questions, or a panel presentation.

How do I attest my education certificate?
Prior to joining Etihad Airways we may ask you to attest your highest formal education certificate. To do this you must first get it stamped and verified by a Notary Public/Department of Education, then by the Department of Foreign Affairs and finally by the UAE Embassy – all in the country of in which it was awarded to you.
What are types of contract with Etihad?
Our contracts vary according to the position you are being recruited into, however, we normally provide permanent full-time roles with an average of 42 working hours per week.
Why do you ask about my family as part of the application?
For roles based in the UAE, our salary packages include an element for accommodation, and for some roles company accommodation is provided. We allocate company accommodation based on the size of the family, therefore this information is used to determine the type of accommodation required, if this is applicable for the role. We also support with schooling, and therefore we ask the ages of your children if they will be relocating with you to Abu Dhabi.
Can I apply for jobs in other departments and/or other stations?
Yes, you are welcome to apply for any position that matches your skills and experience after completion of one year in the role you were recruited for. If applying for international positions within Etihad Airways, you must have the right to live and work in that country to apply for a position.
