The Bahrain Fort
The fort was built by the Portuguese in the 16th century, at a time when they ran trade routes in, and around, the Indian Ocean. The purpose of the fort was to protect said trade routes and is one of several built at that time. The fort has undergone extensive restoration over the years whilst keeping its original look and feel.
