Abu Dhabi International Airport’s Terminal 1 offers world-class services to make your visit as comfortable and stress-free as possible. Terminal 1 is located right next to Terminal 3, and the airport itself is accessible from Abu Dhabi and Dubai or Al Ain with our complimentary coach service.

For our Diamond First and Pearl Business Class Guests, getting to Abu Dhabi airport is easy with Etihad Chauffeur, our premium car service.

With a fleet of luxury cars, we now offer the same level of service and comfort on the road that you are used to on our aircraft.

The service is available free of charge in more than 25 destinations worldwide, including the UAE.

Abu Dhabi airport’s Terminal 1 offers a variety of services to prepare you for your trip:

A 24-hour medical centre, several banks, ATM machines, currency exchange offices, postal facilities, car hire companies and a Mosque.

There are three ways you can check in before an Etihad Airways flight.

You can check in on our website. This is quick and easy, allowing you to choose your preferred seat.

You can use our city check-in facilities in Abu Dhabi or Dubai, with the latter also offering a free airport coach transfer.

Web check-in

Be the first to choose your seat and avoid airport queues by checking in online between 24 hours and 2 hours before you fly.

Fly with Etihad and enjoy a hassle-free journey by checking in online from 24 hours to 2 hours before departure.

With a few simple clicks, choose your preferred seat, check yourself in and print your own boarding pass, ready to present upon arrival at the Bag Drop counter at the airport.

City check-in

Check in at the city terminals anytime between 24 and 5 hours prior to your flight. By checking in early, you get a chance to choose your seats and you can relax without cumbersome luggage to worry about.

Please note that the city check-in service is currently unavailable to our US-bound guests, guests with reduced mobility, Unaccompanied Minors and guests traveling on staff tickets.

Abu Dhabi city check-in

Located in the heart of Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi City Terminal is an easy drive from any part of the capital. Open 24 hours of the day and every day of the week. Leave your baggage at the facility, collect your boarding pass and leave the rest to us.

• Allows you to check in for your flight between 24-5 hours before departure.
• An AED 30 fee is applicable per passenger, adult or child, traveling in Coral Economy Class. Infants below the age of two are not charged.

Dubai City Check-in

Located on Sheikh Zayed Road, close to Etihad’s Dubai office, this facility offers a free, round-the-clock check-in service: collect your boarding pass and leave the rest to us.

• Allows you to check in for your flight between 24-5 hours before departure.

If you are a Coral Economy Guest, you may use one of our complimentary coaches to take you to Abu Dhabi International Airport. Diamond First and Pearl Business Guests can use our complimentary Etihad Chauffeur service.

Check-in at the Etihad counters

Check-in opens 4 hours before the scheduled time of departure.

To ensure a stress-free passage through Departures, ensure you are at the check-in counter at least 90 minutes before your flight departure time and at the departure gate 45 minutes before your flight.

Check-in closing times:
• For Coral Economy Class guests, check-in closes 60 minutes prior to departure.
• For our Diamond First Class and Pearl Business Class guests, check-in closes 45 minutes prior to departure, except for guests travelling to the US, for whom check-in closes 60 minutes before the flight.
