The Statue of Liberty is one of the United States of America’s most famous landmarks. A gift of friendship from the people of France to the people of the United States, it is a universal symbol of freedom and democracy, located in New York. The statue was dedicated on 28th October 1886, designated as a National Monument in 1924, and restored for her centennial on 4th July 1986. The Statue of Liberty’s crown was reopened to the public on 4th July 2009, although reservations are needed for visitors that want to climb to the top of the Pedestal or to the crown.

The Walt Disney World Resort in Florida is another major attraction in the country. As the world's largest and most visited recreational resort,  it encompasses four theme parks, two water parks, 24 on-site themed resort hotels (excluding eight that are on-site), including a campground, two health spas and fitness centers, and other recreational venues and entertainment. It opened on 1st October 1971 with only the Magic Kingdom theme park and has since added Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park and Epcot.
