Düsseldorf Airport, located approximately 7 kilometres outside the city, is the third largest airport in Germany and handles around 20 million passengers every year.
The airport is relatively compact for its passenger capacity, extending over 6.13 square kilometres and handling around 750 aircraft movements per day, to and from 186 direct destinations.
Düsseldorf Airport contains three passenger terminals as well as an executive terminal, exclusively for the use of private and corporate customers. Terminal A accommodates Star Alliance member airlines, with terminals B and C handling mainly short-haul EU flights and long-haul non-Star Alliance flights respectively.
An Airport City is currently in development, with a number of hotels, offices and a cinema already completed.
Passengers can choose from a plethora of drinking and dining options, numerous exclusive boutiques and a range of other airport facilities such as banks, internet access and even a dental practice. Visitors can also take part in a number of events throughout the year at Düsseldorf Airport Airxperience World.
