Frankfurt boasts a contract of architecture, from well maintained old buildings to some of the tallest skyscrapers in Europe. Millions of tourists a year flock to Frankfurt, predominantly to the downtown area including the museums on the river Main and Römer square. Museum of Modern Art (Museum fur Moderne Kunst)
The museum was established in 1981, one of its more prominent features is it's triangular shape which inspired locals to dub the museum the 'slice of cake'. Kunst Hans Hollein was responsible for the design of the museum and in 1983 received first prize in a competition to decide what the new museum should look like when finished. The inside of the museum offers a unique blend of stylish architecture and clever integration into the arts on display.

The Palmengarten
In 1868 a trust was established by the residents of Frankfurt, named the Palmengarten. The gardens stretch over 50 acres of land and beautiful and interesting plants can be seen all year round, including lilies, irises, peonies and Day lilies. There are various activities on offer at the Palmengarten ranging from exhibitions, summer concerts and guided tours to evening festivals.

Frankfurt Airport

Frankfurt Airport, otherwise known as Frankfurt am Main Airport, is located 12km southwest of the city centre.  

It is by far the busiest airport by passenger traffic in Germany, the third busiest in Europe and the ninth busiest worldwide in 2009. In addition, Frankfurt Airport serves the most international destinations in the world. 

There are two passenger terminals at Frankfurt Airport. Terminal 1 is divided into concourses A, B and C and Terminal 2 is divided into concourses D and E.
