Domodedovo International Airport is Russia’s largest and busiest airport, handling almost 25 million passengers a year. Located around 25km south east of Moscow, various connections are offered to the capital city, including a modern expressway, buses, taxis and rental cars. In addition, there is a railway station with direct service to Paveletsky Rail terminal in central Moscow.
Passengers are offered a wide range of retail outlets at Domodedovo International Airport, selling products such as souvenirs, perfumes, electronics, clothes, jewellery, watches, toys, books and newspapers, together with various restaurants and cafes. In addition, guests travelling with Etihad Airways in Pearl Business or Diamond First Class have access to Domodedovo Airport Lounge.
Operated by East Line Group, the airport includes a two-level terminal building, with individual piers for domestic and international services, the latter of which includes Etihad Airways flights.
What’s more, the airport is certified to accept 177 different aircraft, from smaller-scale private jets to larger planes for passenger and cargo operations. Given its rising popularity, a number of developments have been earmarked for Domodedovo International Airport between now and 2020, including new runways and another extension of the passenger terminal.
