Nut-free meals

Etihad Airways does not guarantee a peanut-free environment or peanut-free meals onboard.

As part of our guest experience, nuts maybe served in the cabin or used as an ingredient in a menu.

We do not restrict other passengers from bringing items onboard that may contain nuts.

It is therefore possible that traces of peanuts or their derivatives could be in the cabin environment or the aircraft air conditioning. An allergic reaction to peanuts or any derivative can be serious.

Etihad Airways does not provide nut-free meals.
It is recommended that if you have a severe allergy to peanuts or their derivatives, that you bring your own food, keeping in mind liquid restrictions currently in force. Our cabin crew will be happy to warm your meal for you.

Etihad Airways does not accept any responsibility for any allergic reaction that you may have whilst onboard one of our flights.
We therefore recommend if you have any allergy or have similar concerns, that you discuss these with your doctor prior to travelling with us.

GFML - GLUTEN FREE MEAL

Gluten-free meals are available for guests who need to limit their intake of gluten (or gliadin, a protein fraction of gluten), a substance found in wheat, barley, rye and oats. Gluten-intolerant guests usually suffer from a condition known as Coeliac disease. This condition is caused when the lining of the intestine is damaged by gluten and the body will not absorb food properly. Many packaged and convenience foods contain modified food starches that contain gluten and should be avoided. Therefore, there is no guarantee that meals will be absolutely gluten-free. A rice cracker can be served instead of bread.

Items which are usually allowed on a gluten-free diet are: meat, poultry, fresh fish, rice, fresh fruits and vegetables, corn, salt and pepper, herbs and spices, potatoes, aged cheese, eggs, dairy products, sugars and preserves, margarine, tapioca, vegetable oils, yoghurt, chocolate, and dried beans and peas.

Items which are usually prohibited on a gluten-free diet include: wheat and wheat flour, barley, oats and rye, sauces, bread, cakes and biscuits, pastry, soups, sausages and sausage meats, pasta, gravy mixes and stock cubes.

LCML - LOW-CALORIE MEAL

KSML - KOSHER MEAL

Kosher is a Biblical directive specifying laws permitting certain food items and ways of preparing them. Kosher Meals can contain meat from animals that have split hooves and chew the cud, or species of fish that have both fins and scales. It also can contain all types of fruit and vegetables, except ones which are prone to infestation.

The Kosher Meal is certified in the kosher kitchen and double sealed after packing. Double sealing ensures that when a kosher meal is reheated alongside a non-kosher meal in an aircraft oven, the vapors and the odours do not penetrate into kosher meals during the heating process.
