We want our younger guests to have a pleasant experience with Etihad and are constantly adding the little touches to make flying a memorable experience for your entire family.

In addition to baby-friendly hosts on our flights, we offer everything to make your baby’s journey comfortable.

Changing facilities, baby meals (to be requested at the time of reservation or 24 hours before departure) and bassinets are available on a first come, first serve basis, infant must not exceed 10 kg or 10 months.

If you wish to carry milk or food for your baby, you can have these warmed up on board. We also have soft toys and games to keep our youngest guests happy and entertained on our flights.

Our young guests aged 2-11 years can expect an exciting flight with Etihad. As well as toys and games, your child can enjoy a range of Inflight entertainment programmes and interactive games specially designed for kids.

We also have a special menu to pamper our child guests. Expect old favourites like burgers, fish fingers, chicken nuggets and vegetable patties. Place your child meal request at the time of booking or at least 24 hours before departure.

We know that caring for a child in an airport environment isn’t always easy.

In Abu Dhabi and other major airports we can lend you a stroller to help you through the airport. For Diamond First and Pearl Business our new Family Room in Abu Dhabi offers soft toys, comfortable seating, books, games and qualified nannies.

And of course, there are always plenty of Etihad staff to lend a caring hand.

Car Seats and Child Restraint Devices (CRD)

Guests travelling with children (over 6 months and up to 36 months) may use certain approved car-type seats in conjunction with an aircraft seat provided that the appropriate child fare has been purchased.  The child must be secured in the seat and accompanied by a responsible adult in an adjacent seat for take-off and landing.



The seat must meet the following standards:
• Forward facing or rear facing type with the proper harness that can be strapped to a seat by the use of a lap belt only.

• Rearward facing seats are restricted to infants from 0 – 6 months weighing less than 10 kg and allowed in First or Business Class only, they are not in allowed in Economy class due to seat pitch limitation (hampering the seat recline of seat in front).

• Must be in good condition and show no signs of damage.

• The car seat harness must have a single release type and must secure the infants lap, torso and crotch.

Guests wishing to use any of the above CRD shall be responsible to complete the appropriate installation as per the manufacturer’s instructions and restrictions (occupant weight, height, age, seat direction, etc) displayed on the label attached to the CRD.
