We will guide you through some of the preparation you need to do in order to smoothly and quickly settle into living in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, if you come alone or with your family. Our onboarding team will be here to guide you through all the essentials prior to, and as soon as you arrive.

Etihad Cabin Crew

Etihad will sponsor you for a UAE Residence Visa and assist you with completing all visa application formalities.

Prior to your arrival, we will apply for your employment visa and send a copy to you by email – your original employment visa will be deposited at the airport a day before you arrive in the UAE. You will collect your visa at the visa collection counter in Abu Dhabi International Airport before passing through visa control. After you arrive in the country we will help you with completing the rest of the residency process.


Our priority is that you arrive here hassle free and are ready to concentrate on what’s important. We will arrange your travel to Abu Dhabi and settle you into your new shared Cabin Crew accommodation. Transport will be arranged for you throughout the course of your induction and training.


In your first weeks we will advise you on essentials for settling in such as getting your airport license, opening a bank account, getting a UAE driving license, and renting or purchasing a car.

Our Employee Service Representatives will support you with any further queries you have prior to joining our Etihad Family and throughout the course of your first weeks.

Etihad Flight Crew

Our priority is that you arrive here hassle free and are ready to concentrate on what’s important. We will arrange your travel to Abu Dhabi, your accommodation for the first month and advise you into settling into a more permanent living space.

In your first weeks we will advise you on essentials for settling in such as getting your airport license, opening a bank account, getting a UAE driving license, renting or purchasing a car and permanent accommodation options.

Our Employee Service Representatives will support you with any further queries you have prior to joining our Etihad Family and throughout the course of your first weeks.

You and your family need residence visas in order to reside in the UAE. Etihad will sponsor you for a UAE Residence Visa and assist you with completing all visa application formalities. Prior to your arrival, we will apply for your employment visa and send a copy to you by email – your original employment visa will be deposited at the airport a day before you arrive in the UAE. You will collect your visa at the visa collection counter in Abu Dhabi International Airport before passing through visa control.

After you arrive in the country we will help you with completing the rest of the UAE residency process.

If you are moving to the UAE with your family, you must have certain documents attested to process all visa requirements when you arrive in Abu Dhabi. These include; original copies of your marriage certificate and birth certificate of any children who are also moving with you.

There are several educational curriculums which schools follow in the UAE. Abu Dhabi is home to various international schools and universities. Etihad will support you with schooling fees for up to 4 of your children.
