Toronto features over 8,000 hectares of woodland area and over 1,500 parks; it is also the most densely populated area in Canada. The famous CN Tower is located in Toronto, standing at over 550 metres tall. Toronto also has the beginning of the world's longest street, Yonge Street, which stretches 1,896 kilometres.

Toronto has been populated since the last ice age, although the recorded city populous only dates back until 1793, when the 'Town of York' was founded by British Colonists. The 'town' grew into the city of Toronto in 1834 and has now become one of the most diverse and vibrant cities in the world.

Toronto Island Park
Park lovers will love Toronto Island! There is lots to do and see including a petting zoo, amusement rides, wading pools, flower gardens, beaches, marina, lighthouse and boat rentals. There are also large picnic areas so it is possible to relax, eat and enjoy the view. Visitors can get to the island by means of the ferry that crosses over Lake Ontario, catching a view of the Toronto skyline along the way.

The Harbourfront Centre hosts over 4,000 events per year so there is always something going on! The centre occupies an area of 10 acres and attracts over 10 million visitors every year. Most events are offered free of charge or, at least, at very competitive prices. Theatres, from around the globe, also perform regularly at the Harbourfront Centre from October to May. A skating rink (winter only), a museum, a gallery, restaurants and a pier are also located at the Centre.

Toronto Pearson International Airport is also known as Lester B. Pearson International Airport, or simply Toronto Pearson. It is located around 22.5km northwest of Downtown Toronto in Mississauga. 

Toronto Airport is the busiest airport in Canada. In 2009, it handled 30.4 million passengers and was the 20th busiest airport in the world by international passenger traffic.
