New York is the third most populated city of the United States, after Texas and California. The Museum of Modern Art
On flights to New York, a visit to the Museum of Modern Art is a must. It was originally founded in 1929 as an educational facility. Dedicated to bring to light the most intriguing pieces of modern art, the museum is considered to be worked famous. The museum was recently renovated, in 2002, and since the reopening the museum now welcomes thousands of visitors a year. On offer at the museum are Library and Archives holdings, educational activities, special events, circulating film and video library, publications and retail sales.

Empire State Building
Many visitors arriving on flights to New York will want to see the Empire State Building. There are two main observatories in it: the 86th floor observatory stands at a height of 320 metres, can be reached by high speeds lifts, is enclosed in glass and has spacious outdoor terraces facing in all directions; the 102nd floor observatory stands at a much higher elevation and can only be accessed through pre-bought tickets sold at the Empire State Building for $15 each.

In 2009, New York Airport handled 46 million passengers. It is located about 19km from Lower Manhattan in Queens County, on Long Island, in southeastern New York City. 

The airport was first known as Idlewild airport in 1943 when construction work first began, and it was renamed in 1963 after assassinated US President John F. Kennedy.
