Attractions in Casablanca

Casablanca is located in western Morocco and is the capital of the Greater Casablanca region.

Casablanca is Morocco's largest city housing a population of over 3,250,000 inhabitants. One of the largest artificial ports in the world is located in Casablanca, providing a base for the Royal Moroccan Navy.

It is thought that the city was first inhabited more than 1400 years ago by the Berbers. More recently the city has become synonymous with the French since they conquered the city in the early 1900’s; however Casablanca actually gained independence in 1956.

Since then Casablanca has developed into the main contributor to the growth of the Moroccan economy and is continually being developed and renovated.
