Tourists often flock to the Sundarbans, which is the largest mangrove forest in the world, stretching 80km through West Bengal and Bangladesh. The Sundarbans is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was also declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1966. There are approximately 30,000 deer and 400 Royal Bengal tigers in the area, together with many different species of fish, reptiles, birds, insects and mammals.

Cox's Bazar is a popular beach resort in Bangladesh. Home to the world's biggest beach, the Inani, Cox's Bazar boasts over 100km of unbroken sands. There are various ethnic groups and Buddhist temples in the local area to visit, and the deltaic islands are only a day trip away in the Bay of Bengal should visitors wish to venture further afield.
