Castle of Bouillon
The Castle of Bouillon is a castle/fortress and is considered to be the oldest remnants of feudalism in Belgium with the first fortifications from the 8th century. The castle was built on three outcrops of rocks and is well known for its labyrinth of corridors and huge vaulted halls. Godefroid, the leader of the first Crusade (1096), is attributed with making the castle famous due to his 'escapades'.
