Qatar National Museum
Qatar National Museum is the second largest museum in Doha, Qatar, and includes many displays relating to the geological history of Qatar as well as a collection of Islamic artifacts and relics. The museum is located in the eastern part of the Doha Corniche and includes a maritime museum as well as a small lagoon, where a traditional dhow moors. The museum also includes displays of Qatari architecture, medals given to Qatar by foreign rulers in the past, medallions of honor from Qatar's army, descriptions of geology and flora and fauna, Bedouin tribesmen, and finally a section on oil and gas.

Museum of Islamic Art
The Museum of Islamic Art is a museum located in the Qatari capital Doha. The museum draws much influence from ancient Islamic architecture yet has a unique design. It was the first of its kind in the Arabian Gulf and has a very large collection of Islamic art, plus a study, a library, and several restaurants. Sabiha Al Khemir served as the founding director of the museum from 2006-2008. The museum has a total area of 45,000 m2 and lies on the edge of Doha harbour at the south end of Doha Bay.
