As a country famed for its talented painters, several museums are dedicated to Dutch artworkin the Netherlands. The Museum Quarter in Amsterdam, for instance, has the Van Gogh Museum, Stedelijk Museum and Rijksmuseum within walking distance of each other. Over at The Hague, an extensive collection of Van Gogh and Johannes Vermeer paintings can be found at Mauritshuis (Maurits House),while Rotterdam’s Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen has masterpieces by Rembrandt, Claude Monet and others.

The Netherlands is packed with 20 national parks, offering exceptional landscapes with rare plants and unique animal species. Popular examples include Hoge Veluwe National Park, Oosterschelde National Park and Schiermonnikoog National Par.
