Etihad Airways Live from Rome – 8th August 2014

Watch the broadcast of the Etihad Airways and Alitalia joint press conference in Rome. 

In this press conference, Etihad Airways President and CEO announces that Alitalia and Etihad Airways have signed an agreement to invest €560 million in Alitalia, part of €1,758 million investment deal to build a reinvigorated Alitalia as a competitive, sustainably profitable business. 

This will be accompanied by the implementation of measures to drive increased inbound tourism into Italy and to support the country’s economic growth.

Etihad Airways currently operates daily services from Abu Dhabi to Rome and Milan, which complement Alitalia’s five flights a week from Rome to Abu Dhabi. The two airlines also codeshare to a total of 31 other destinations.

Etihad Airways and Jet Airways Live Broadcast – 23rd July 2014

Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, and Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, unveil plans to reinforce their long-term commitment to the growth of India’s economy and aviation industry, including a major new turnaround strategy for Jet Airways. 

The two airlines have been codeshare partners since 2008 and their relationship was strengthened in November 2013, after Etihad Airways received approvals to acquire a 24 per cent stake in Jet Airways, marking the first investment by a foreign carrier in India’s airline industry.
