Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - Etihad Airways Engineering, the largest commercial aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services provider in the Middle East, has been awarded the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award (SKEA) in the Silver category in the 17th edition of the awards, during a prestigious ceremony held at Abu Dhabi’s Emirates Palace on Monday 22 April. His Highness Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court presented the awards at the ceremony.
The
award is given when there is a clear demonstration and evidence of continuous
business improvement, and is highly sought after in the UAE. This recognition
highlights Etihad Airways Engineering’s significant achievements, strong
leadership and commitment to continuous improvement and people development.

The
awards, established by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ADCCI)
in 1999, aim to enhance competitiveness in the business sector in Abu Dhabi,
and the wider UAE, by recognising the city’s most highly regarded companies. The
assessment includes an extensive application process followed by a two-day
onsite evaluation carried out by official assessors.
