We’re pleased to be operating flights to Abu Dhabi from more than 35 worldwide destinations. You must have ICA approval from the Abu Dhabi Government before you’ll be permitted to fly – you will not be able to check in otherwise.

These flights have been approved by the UAE Government, and we continue to work closely with global aviation authorities to increase our network in the future.

Remember: you must hold a valid UAE resident visa and ICA approval number – you will not be permitted to enter the UAE otherwise.

You will be required to undertake PCR and thermal testing when you arrive in Abu Dhabi, and are required to self-isolate for 14 days.

Travelling in the UAE

Travel between Abu Dhabi and other UAE emirates is currently restricted by the Abu Dhabi Government. If you are travelling between emirates to reach the airport, you must prove that you have tested negative for COVID-19 within the past 48 hours before you’ll be permitted to enter Abu Dhabi. You must also present your booking confirmation or ticket if requested by officials.

How to book

Before you can fly, you must apply for ICA approval. The service will ask for your flight booking reference, however it is not mandatory and you can leave this field blank.

If your application is successful, you’ll receive a unique ICA approval number, which you will need for when your check-in for your flight. All guests must ensure they have ICA approval from the Abu Dhabi Government before they fly. Guest who do not have ICA approval will not be accepted at check-in.

Things to know before you fly

It is compulsory to wear a face mask whilst you travel. You must wear your face mask when you arrive at the airport and keep it on for the duration of your journey.

Remember to wash your hands thoroughly at regular intervals, and follow social distancing guidelines carefully at all times.


Due to government restrictions across our network, you will only be permitted to carry a personal item on board, such as a handbag, backpack or laptop bag. This can weigh up to 5kg. You can check in your remaining cabin baggage for free. This applies if you are flying in Economy, Business or First.

Remember to read our regulations before you travel.


From 30 hours before your flight, you can check-in and choose your seat online or via our app. To help us follow social distancing guidelines as closely as possible, some of our seats are unavailable. If you can’t find the seat you would like, we’ll be happy to help you at the airport.

Check-in at the airport opens three hours before your scheduled flight time. Your boarding pass will be ready to collect when you arrive.

On board

On board, we’ll make sure you are seated with as much space as possible between every guest, and we’ll offer our food and drinks service in line with important COVID-19 guidelines.

Our fantastic crew will be on board, so if you need any assistance, they’re there to help. All of our crew will be following strict COVID-19 flying rules, and we kindly ask that you do everything you can to adhere to these.

Remember – it is compulsory to wear a face mask whilst you are at the airport, on board the aircraft and when you arrive at your destination.

Arriving in Abu Dhabi

When you land, temperature screening is in operation at Abu Dhabi airport, and you’ll be asked to wait two metres apart from other guests at all queuing points.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, our lounges in Abu Dhabi are closed. We will reopen them as soon as we can.

If your journey time from the airport coincides with curfew hours in the UAE, you will be required to present your booking confirmation or ticket if requested by officials.
