Travel with peace of mind

Your safety is always our main priority, but we're working harder than ever to make sure you stay protected when you travel.

We’ve introduced additional deep cleaning and new initiatives to limit touchpoints and allow for more distance between you and other guests. And because we understand you’ll have some questions about your trip, our team of Wellness Ambassadors will be on hand 24/7.

Baggage

Due to government restrictions across our network, you will only be permitted to carry a personal item on board, such as a handbag, backpack or laptop bag. This can weigh up to 5kg. You can check in your remaining cabin baggage for free. This applies if you are flying in Economy, Business or First.

Before your flight

From 30 hours before your flight, you can check-in and choose your seat online or via our app. To help us follow social distancing guidelines as closely as possible, some of our seats are unavailable. If you can’t find the seat you would like, we’ll be happy to help you at the airport.

Check-in at the airport opens three hours before your scheduled flight time. Your boarding pass will be ready to collect when you arrive.

On board

On board, we’ll make sure you are seated with as much space as possible between every guest, and we’ll offer our food and drinks service in line with important COVID-19 guidelines.

Transferring to a connecting flight in Abu Dhabi

When we land in Abu Dhabi, you’ll be directed to the airport terminal. Please remember to keep your face mask on, and follow the new measures that have been put in place to keep you protected. Please note that currently, our maximum connection time is four hours.

Our team will carry out an extensive, deep clean of the aircraft, including seats, seatbelts, toilets, tray tables and armrests.

As soon as the next aircraft is ready, you’ll board the plane and we’ll continue to our final destination. You will not need to collect your baggage when we land in Abu Dhabi.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, limited food and beverage options are available in Abu Dhabi, and our Duty Free stores and lounges are closed. We will reopen them as soon as we can.

We understand this is a long journey, and we’ll do everything we can to make it as comfortable as possible for you.

Arriving at your destination

Countries around the world have issued specific rules and regulations to limit the spread of COVID-19 and keep you protected when you travel. It’s really important that you read these guidelines before you travel, and follow them at all times.

If you’re flying with any of our codeshare partner airlines, always check their regulations before you fly.
