Claim your miles

If you forgot to claim your Etihad Guest Miles or your transaction has not appeared in your account within six weeks, please raise a request through the claim missing miles form.

Flights within Portugal & Globally

You can book TAP Air Portugal reward flights using your Etihad Guest Miles directly on the Etihad website or app. The number of miles you spend depends on the distance and the class of travel.

Earning miles for tickets
 

  • Flights marketed by TAP Air Portugal and operated by a third-party carrier other than TAP Air Portugal or Etihad Airways will not be eligible for Etihad Guest Miles accrual.
  • Charter flights operated by TAP Air Portugal are not eligible for mileage accrual.
  • Flights taken on TAP Air Portugal are not eligible to earn Etihad Guest Tier Miles and therefore, do not contribute to earning or maintaining your Etihad Guest Tier.
  • Missing Etihad Guest Miles can be claimed up to six months from the date of travel.
  • Etihad Guest Miles will be credited to your account within two weeks post your flight activity.
     

Spending miles for tickets
 

  • Reward seats are subject to availability.
  • Rewards are only valid on TAP Air Portugal operated flights when booked on the flight code TP.
  • Reward tickets are not valid on codeshare flights.
  • A reward ticket for a child and/ or infant will be charged the adult mileage value and must be booked in the same booking as the accompanying adult.
  • Reward tickets are valid for a maximum period of one year from the original date of issue.
  • Using miles for upgrades on TAP Air Portugal are not permitted.
  • Reward values are exclusive of taxes, fuel surcharge and other charges. These need to be paid separately.
  • Date change and cancellation rules are as per the Etihad Guest Terms and Conditions.
  • Stopovers are permitted, based on TAP Air Portugal terms and conditions.
  • Name changes are not permitted.
