Travelling from Corniche Road, take Al Bateen Street, then Al Falah Street before driving along Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street. Turn left onto Jarneen Street and follow signs for the Equestrian Club.

From Corniche Road, take 30th Street then turn right on Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street until the Mohammed Bin Khalifa Street turning. Take a right along Al Karamah Street until you reach The Royal Stables.

Drive from Abu Dhabi International Airport and take the E20 Airport Road towards the city, past Zayed University. Take the exit for Al Fursan Street then follow signs to the resort.

Things to know before you go

Prepare for an active day

To make sure you can get the most from your lesson or trip, it’s important to dress for comfort.

When you book a lesson, you’ll be advised on the best clothing to wear, but it will usually include trousers and a pair of trainers. Upon arrival guests will be provided with appropriate protective wear, including a hard hat.

Remember the weather is gloriously warm in Abu Dhabi and horse riding lessons involve lots of physical exertion. Make sure you pack a bottle of water and wear breathable clothing.

Make a day of your family horse riding experience and book in advance for an afternoon lesson at Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club followed by an evening of excitement.

Head to the stables for your pre-booked lesson and meet the stunning horses, before learning the basics of horsemanship from the instructors. Enjoy a lesson filled with tips and tricks on how to ride and look after a horse.

Evening entertainment

After your fun-packed lesson, get changed into a smart casual outfit for a night of racing. Meetings start from 5pm and usually include six races – grab soft drinks and snacks then enter the Tri Cast Competition together to experience an evening of fun-filled family entertainment.

Alternatively, book a horse riding slot at sunset and admire Abu Dhabi's coastline from the saddle.
