- The maximum age for a passenger to be covered under FlySafe & FlySafePlus is 79 years inclusive at time of purchasing the policy.
- The passenger has to be a valid and legal resident of the country where he/she is flying from.
- Purchase of FlySafe & FlySafe Plus is only possible when booking flights on www.etihad.com
- For one way travel, FlySafe & FlySafePlus is valid up to 24 hours from the time of arrival at the destination.
- FlySafe & FlySafePlus provides cover for the duration of your roundtrip booked with Etihad if the trip duration is less than 90 days. If the trip duration is more than 90 days, it covers a maximum of 90 days from the date of travel based on the travel dates provided.
- FlySafe & FlySafePlus policy is not changeable. However, in the event of a rescheduling of a flight under the same booking reference, please contact Etihad Airways to amend your policy based on new dates.
- The coverage for cancellation of your trip begins when you purchase the policy . All other benefits become effective the date and time the insured starts their trip.
- If travelling from Bahrain, Kuwait, or the UAE, FlySafe & FlySafe Plus travel insurance policy can be cancelled within 48 hours of being issued. Any premium already paid will be refunded to you providing you have not travelled, and no claim has been made or is intended to be made, and no incident likely to give rise to a claim has occurred. Any Cancellations after 48 hours will not be refunded.
- If travelling from Germany, Greece, Ireland or Spain, FlySafe & FlySafe Plus travel insurance policy can be cancelled within 14 days of being issued. Any premium already paid will be refunded to you providing you have not travelled, and no claim has been made or is intended to be made, and no incident likely to give rise to a claim has occurred. Any Cancellations after 14 days will not be refunded.
- If travelling from France, FlySafe & FlySafe Plus travel insurance policy can be cancelled within 30 days of being issued. Any premium already paid will be refunded to you providing you have not travelled, and no claim has been made or is intended to be made, and no incident likely to give rise to a claim has occurred. Any Cancellations after 30 days will not be refunded.
- The trip cancellation benefit is only applicable for specific reasons as detailed in your Policy Wording (Terms and Conditions). Covered reasons include, but are not limited to, unforeseen emergencies such as illness, or death involving you, and/or an immediate family member. Pre-existing medical conditions and injuries known to any person who your trip depends on are not covered.
- FlySafe & FlySafePlus has exclusions on pre-existing medical conditions as detailed in your Policy Wording. “Pre-existing medical conditions” refers to illness, disease or other medical conditions that you knew about before you purchased your travel insurance product.
- FlySafe & FlySafePlus does not cover a claim for flights cancelled by Etihad Airways.
