Etihad Airways and Girona FC Facet Challenge!

1.      Information on how to enter, mechanics of entry and prizes form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by each Entrant. Promoter reserves the right to change the terms and conditions at any time without notice at its complete and sole discretion.

2.      No purchase is necessary to enter this competition. This is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the outcome. There will be one (1) winner chosen.

3.      Entry is open to residents of the Spain who are 18 years of age or over (“Entrants”). The Promoters are Etihad Airways, Khalifa City A, P.O. Box: 35566, Abu Dhabi, UAE

4.      The competition commences on May 25th, 2025, 12:00PM local time GMT+2 and ends at May 25th 2025 11:59PM local time GMT+2 (“Competition Period”). Winners will be selected on June 10th, 2025, 02:00PM local time GMT+2.

5.      Entry to the competition is free. Without limiting the foregoing, to be eligible to win a Prize the eligible entrants must complete the procedures and requirements set forth in these Terms and Conditions and requirements published for competition entry.

To enter the competition, entrants must:

a)      Scan the QR code displayed in the flyer displayed or presented to you during the pre-game marketing activation starting at the stadium before the football match.

b)      You will be lead to sign up to Etihad Guest membership program. Complete the Etihad Guest registration process and activate your membership.

c)       Score as many goals as possible within period of 30 seconds.in the facet challenge in the Fan zone.  

The participant with the highest score will win two (2) return economy class Etihad flight tickets from Barcelona to Abu Dhabi.

Prize Award: Two (2) return economy class Etihad flight tickets from Barcelona to Abu Dhabi.

Winner notification: The winner will be contacted by 10-06-25 by the Promoter via the email address entrants provide to sign up to the challenge competition.

If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond to the email/message before 10-06-25, or refuses the prize award, or if a prize and/or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner will be disqualified without further notice, and an alternate winner may be selected at Promoter’s sole discretion.  

6.      There is a limit of one entry per person for the duration of the Competition Period.

7.      Entries will be deemed accepted at the time of receipt by the Promoters and not at the time of transmission.  Entries received will be considered final by the Promoters. Illegible, incomprehensible and incomplete entries will be deemed invalid. The Promoters accept no responsibility for any late, lost, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, delayed, illegible, corrupted or misdirected entries, claims or correspondence whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction or otherwise including those entries not received by the Promoters

8.      Costs associated with accessing the competition website remain an Entrant’s responsibility and may vary depending on the Internet service provider used.  

9.      The winner will be contacted by 10 June 2025 by the Promoter via the email address entrants provide to sign up to the challenge. That is the only way Promoter will notify the winner and it is the entrants’ responsibility to ensure they visit the appropriate page to find out if they have won the competition. You are not a winner until your prize claim is validated and you receive official written notification from the Promoter.

10.  Entries not fully complying with these Terms and Conditions (including competition entry requirements) may be deemed invalid at the Promoters discretion. If a winning entry is deemed not to comply with these Terms and Conditions, the entry will be discarded, and the relevant prize will be re-awarded in accordance with the relevant clause of these Terms and Conditions as if the discarded entry had not been received.

11.  One winner will be chosen from all entries received and judged based on, among other things, originality, creative merit and relevance. All decisions of the Promoter are final, and no discussions or correspondence will be entered into.

12.  There is one prize to be won: One winner will get two (2) return economy class flight tickets on Etihad Airways.

15.  Prizes are not transferrable, and no substitutions will be made except as provided in this Terms and Conditions and at Promoter’s sole discretion.

a)      Prizes consist of only the items specifically listed and described as part of the Prize award.

b)      The prize is not exchangeable, transferrable or redeemable and cannot be exchanged for any cash value.

c)       Flights are on Etihad Airways direct destination network and subject to Etihad Airways terms and conditions, ticketing rules, conditions of carriage which are located on the Etihad Airways official website www.etihad.com

d)      As applicable, Etihad Guest terms & conditions apply, and the use of the Etihad Guest Miles is up to the discretion of the winner. Prizes have no cash value. Etihad Guest Terms & Conditions are available at: https://www.etihadguest.com/en/terms-and-conditions

e)      If for any reason, the winner (and their companion) does not, once the flights have been booked, take the flight at the time stipulated, then their prize will be forfeited and cannot be redeemed for cash refund. Once travel itinerary including flights, accommodation and event tickets have been confirmed and issued to the winner, no changes to the itinerary or passenger name will be accepted.

f)       It is the winner’s (and their companion) responsibility to ensure that they have requisite travel visas, vaccinations, valid documentation (including but not limited to valid passports and visas), insurance and other travel documents as required by the relevant immigration and other government authorities at the destination. Any fines, penalties, payments, or expenditures incurred as a result of entry to a port, or winner’s documents not meeting the requirements of government authorities will be the sole responsibility of the winner (and their companion).

g)      The winner (and their companion) is responsible for all personal and other expenses including but not limited to spending money, meals, drinks, transfers, laundry charges, activities, incidentals, taxes, energy surcharges, gratuities, service charges, passports, visas, travel insurance and all other ancillary costs. Travel insurance is highly recommended to protect against the additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

h)      The Promoter makes no representation as to the safety, conditions or other issues that may exist at any destination or as part of the prize. Prizes will be awarded to the entrant named in the entry.

i)        Prize(s) must be accepted as awarded. All characteristics and features of the prize(s) except as otherwise explicitly stated above are at the Promoter’s sole and absolute discretion.

j)        If a prize, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded for any reason, Promoter reserves the right to substitute such prize (or portion thereof) with an equivalent prize of equal or greater value.

k)      All federal, state, and local taxes, and all other costs associated with acceptance or use of the prize(s), are the sole responsibility of the applicable winner(s).

l)        You are not a winner until your prize claim is validated and you receive official written notification from the Promoter. Arrangements for delivery of prize(s) will be made after winner validation. Prize(s) will be awarded only to an address within the competition territory, provided they are claimed properly in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

m)   At the Promoter’s discretion, prize(s) that are not claimed properly in accordance with these Terms and Conditions may not be awarded.

n)      The Promoters are not liable for any tax implications arising from prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise as a result of accepting the prize.

16.   The winner must notify the Promoter within 14 days of being awarded as a winner, the name of their companion, destination and nearest Etihad Airways serviced airport. Proof of identification will need to be provided to confirm claiming the entry including a copy of a valid passport, and confirmation of details provided to enter competition.

17.  Flights are subject to Etihad Airways terms and conditions of carriage which are located on the Etihad Airways website and can be found at www.eithad.com

18.  Should an Entrant’s contact details change during the Competition Period, it is the Entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoters. A request to access or modify any information provided in an entry should be directed to the Promoters.

19.  By accepting the prize, the winners agree to participate in and co-operate as required with all reasonable media editorial requests relating to the prize, including but not limited to, being interviewed and photographed. The winners will not be entitled to any fee for participating in these activities.

20.  As a condition of entering this competition, the entrant consents to the Promoters that:

a)      The entrant has obtained permission from any third party appearing or particpating in the entry.

b)      Except where prohibited, participation in the Promotion constitutes each entrant’s permission for the Promoter (and its agencies) to use entrants' names, photographs, videos, voices, and/or any other likenesses for purposes of advertising and publicity in all media now known or hereinafter invented without territorial or time limitations and without compensation or notice.

21.  As a condition of entering this competition, Entrants hereby assign to the Promoters, all right, title and interest in and to all copyright in any material created pursuant to the Entrant’s participation in any aspect of the competition (“Works”). Entrants acknowledge that the Promoters are free to use the Works and to exercise its rights in relation thereto and the Entrant will not be entitled to any fee for such use.

22.  In consideration for the Promoters awarding the prize to the winner, the winner hereby permits the winner’s image and/or voice, as recorded, photographed or filmed during the winner’s participation in the prize to appear in any media whatsoever throughout the world for an unlimited period and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.

23.  The Promoters reserve the right to request Winners to provide proof of identity, proof of age, proof of residency and/or proof of entry validity (including but not limited to originality of image) in order to claim a prize. Proof of identification, residency, age and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoters. In the event that a Winner cannot provide suitable proof, the Winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.

24.  Promoter reserves the right to change the terms and conditions at any time without notice at its complete and sole discretion.

25.  Etihad Airways employees and their family members are not eligible to participate.

26.  The Promoters reserve the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which in the opinion of the Promoters, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who has, in the opinion of the Promoters, engaged in conduct in entering the competition which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the competition and/or the Promoters. The Promoters reserve the right to disqualify a winner if the Promoters become aware that the winner and/or the winner’s entry is of a type described in this clause. Any entrant disqualified under this clause is prohibited from any further participation in this competition. 

27.  In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoters ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, act of terrorism, the Promoters may in their absolute discretion cancel the competition and recommence it from the start on the same conditions, subject to any written directions given under relevant government regulation.

28.  The Promoters, its affiliates, its associated agencies and companies (and their respective officers, employees and agents) exclude all liability (including negligence) except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law; for any direct or indirect or consequential injury, loss and/or damage arising in any way in connection with this competition or any prize/s. This includes, but is not limited to: (i) technical malfunctions, delays or failures, including those resulting from accessing any materials related to this promotion and any incorrect or inaccurate or incomplete information communicated in the course of, or in connection with, this competition as a result of any technical malfunctions, delays or failures; (ii) theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (iii) lost or damaged entries, prize claims or prizes; (iv) acceptance and/or use of any prize (including but not limited to any component of a winner’s trip).   

29.  The Promoters reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoters have reason to believe has breached any of these conditions or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of this promotion. Any entrant disqualified under this clause is prohibited from any further participation in this competition. The Promoters legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.

30.  The Promoters and their associated agencies and companies assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, internet failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.

31.  If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any causes beyond the control of the Promoters, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoters reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to any written direction given under State Regulation.

32.  The Promoters are not liable for any tax implications arising from prize winnings.  Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise as a result of accepting the prize.

33.  All entries will be the property of the Promoters. The personal data information Entrants provide will be processed in accordance with Etihad’s Privacy Policy available at http://www.etihad.com/en/legal/privacy-policy/. Entry is conditional on providing this information By entering and participating in this Promotion you consent to:

a)      Receive email announcements from Promoter, in accordance with its Etihad Airways Privacy Policy. You may unsubscribe from these email announcements without affecting your chances of winning this Promotion.

b)      each entrant agrees that the Promotor, its agents and/or representatives, may store, share, and use the personal information he/she submitted with his/her entry for the purpose of administering the Promotion and agrees to the collection, use and disclosure of his/her personal information as described in these Terms and Conditions, in the above Privacy Policy and as permitted by applicable law.

c)       Promoters may disclose entrants’ personal information to its affiliates, their contractors, partners and agents to assist in conducting this competition or communicating with Entrants. The Promoters may also disclose Entrants’ personal information to its related companies and third parties who provide products and services, some of whom may be located overseas.

d)      Promoters using their personal information for future promotional and marketing purposes regarding the Promoter’s products and services, including contacting the entrant via SMS and email messages (and entrants consent to receiving such messages from the Promoter). Information on how to opt-out from these messages is set out in the Promoter’s Privacy Policies. The Promoter’s Privacy Policies also explain how an entrant can seek to access or correct any personal information the Promoter holds about the entrant, how to complain about a privacy breach by the Promoter and how the Promoter will deal with a privacy complaint.  Entrants can contact the Promoters in relation to its handling of personal information at dataprivacy@etihad.ae.

34.  All trademarks used in the competition are the property of their respective owners and all Etihad trademark and intellectual property rights are the property of Etihad Airways. Manufacturers of the prizes offered in this Competition do not sponsor or endorse this Promotion.

35.  If in any jurisdiction, this prize draw is unlawful, then to the extent that the laws of that jurisdiction are applicable, this prize draw is void in that jurisdiction.

These Terms and Conditions and the relationship between the entrant and promoter are governed by Spanish laws. By completing and submitting an entry, entrant is agreeing to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Madrid, Spain.
