To enter public places in Abu Dhabi – like hotels, restaurants and malls – you must be fully vaccinated and hold a negative PCR test result issued within 30 days.
To prove this, you must show the Al Hosn app (with green status) or the official health app from your country of residence.
If you’d prefer to use the Al Hosn app, register at ica.gov.ae. Collect a UID number at the immigration desk in Abu Dhabi, then register using that number on the Al Hosn app.
Take a test when you land in Abu Dhabi airport, and if you’re fully vaccinated, you’ll receive green status.

You’ll only need to take a test when you’re transiting in Abu Dhabi if it’s required by your final destination. You check this in our travel requirements.
If you do need a test whilst you’re in transit, you can take a COVID-19 PCR test at Abu Dhabi airport, and it takes two hours to receive your results. You must pay for your test when you check in before you fly to Abu Dhabi.
We recommend paying by credit card. Cash will only be accepted in the local currency at your departure airport. Tests cost USD 50 (rate variable based on the latest exchange rate).

Yes, you can travel to Abu Dhabi without quarantine regardless of your vaccination status.
If you are not vaccinated, you must take a PCR test 48 hours before your flight to Abu Dhabi, and it’s optional for you to take a PCR test when you arrive at the airport.
You may not be permitted to enter public places in Abu Dhabi if you are not vaccinated.
Following the latest government advice, UAE nationals will only be allowed to leave the UAE if they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster shot against COVID-19.
If you’re flying to Abu Dhabi, you must have received two doses of one of the following vaccines, or one dose of Janssen, to be considered fully vaccinated:

Your vaccine certificate must contain a QR code.

You must self-isolate at home or your hotel for up to 10 days. Your period of self-isolation will end as soon as you receive two negative PCR tests, taken 24 hours apart.
This applies regardless of your vaccination status.
