- Currency: The Euro (EUR) is the official currency in Luxembourg. Card and digital payments are the standard in Luxembourg, so you'll find it easy to pay for almost anything without cash. While carrying some cash is helpful for small cafes or village shops, most places in the city prefer digital methods.
- Language: Most people in Luxembourg speak four languages, including Luxembourgish, French, German, and English. While French is the standard for shops and restaurants, English is the primary language used for business and tourism.

The world’s only remaining Grand Duchy
Luxembourg has four distinct seasons. If you love mild and warm days, summer from June to August is the best time to visit Luxembourg. Winter lasts from December to February and brings cold weather with plenty of snow. Spring runs from March to May with gradually warming weather, while autumn arrives between September and November, showing off bright forest colours.
Luxembourg Airport, with the IATA code LUX, is the only international gateway to the country. Situated at 4, Rue de Trèves, about six kilometres east of Luxembourg City, this boutique hub combines regional efficiency with the comfort of a larger terminal. The modern facilities include a variety of shops and restaurants designed for a smooth travel experience. Starting in October 2026, flights will connect guests to the world’s only Grand Duchy through this central location.
