How can we support you

We recognise that support for charities and community involvement should be managed ethically and transparently to meet corporate governance requirements and be in line with the shareholder mandate.

 

 

Any involvement in initiatives and activities will be reviewed to ensure consistency, transparency, and above all, that the advantages to the communities it is intended to benefit are maximised.

Request for support
Etihad Airways is proud to support charitable causes in the communities we serve. We accept requests year round for transportation, excess baggage and other in-kind support.

Please be sure your request is submitted with a reasonable period of notice prior to support being required, or three weeks for baggage requests. Requests submitted later than this will be declined. All requests will be acknowledged by email and successful applications will be informed within six weeks.

All requests must be submitted by email to CSRetihad@etihad.ae in English using this request form. Requests must come from a registered charity or not-for-profit organisation, or be accompanied by a letter from the charity or not-for-profit organisation for whom support is intended.

To be eligible for contributions from Etihad Airways, organisations should:

  • Demonstrate a clear strategy and objectives with tools in place to ensure effective execution, monitoring and reporting on the impact of a contribution.
  • Commit to submitting a timely outcome report on the contribution.
  • Limit program administrative expense to below 20 per cent of total revenue.
  • Operate within those communities where Etihad Airways maintains a significant business presence.
The following exclusions apply:
  • Individuals or organisations that are not working in collaboration with a registered charity or not-for profit organisation.
  • Organisations that raise funds for redistribution to individuals or organisations.
  • Political organisations.
  • Organisations that discriminate against race, gender, religion or lifestyle.

Please note that we may not be able to assist in baggage requests on parts of your journey provided by other airlines, even if your booking was made through Etihad Airways. While Etihad Airways will try to assist in making arrangements, we cannot guarantee our baggage provision will be honoured by other airlines and advise you to contact them directly.

Etihad Airways reserves the right to request a detailed work plan and budget prior to any support begin given.
