Etihad Airways will resume a limited commercial flight schedule from 6 March 2026, operating between Abu Dhabi and a number of key destinations.

 

Guests with previous bookings will be accommodated on these flights as soon as possible. Tickets are also available for sale on etihad.com. 

 

The decision has been taken in coordination with relevant authorities following extensive safety and security assessments. Etihad continues to monitor the situation closely and will only operate flights once all safety criteria are met.

The following destinations are scheduled to operate to and from Abu Dhabi between 6 March and 19 March:

 

Ahmedabad, Addis Ababa, Amsterdam, Athens, Atlanta, Bangkok, Barcelona, Beijing, Bengaluru, Boston, Brussels, Cairo, Casablanca, Chiang Mai, Chicago, Colombo, Copenhagen, Delhi, Denpasar (Bali), Dublin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Geneva, Hanoi, Hong Kong, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Istanbul, Jakarta, Jeddah, Karachi, Kochi, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Krabi, Kuala Lumpur, Lahore, London (Heathrow), Madrid, Malé, Manchester, Manila, Medina, Melbourne, Milan (Malpensa), Moscow (Sheremetyevo), Mumbai, Munich, Muscat, Nairobi, New York (JFK), Paris, Phnom Penh, Phuket, Prague, Riyadh, Rome, Seoul (Incheon), Seychelles, Singapore, St Petersburg, Sydney, Taipei, Tel Aviv, Thiruvananthapuram, Tokyo, Toronto, Vienna, Warsaw, Washington and Zurich.

 

* All services remain subject to operational approvals and may be adjusted depending on regional airspace conditions. Not all destinations operate daily. Guests should consult the latest schedule at etihad.com for specific days of operation.

 

All other scheduled commercial services to and from Abu Dhabi remain suspended. Additional destinations will be added and communicated as conditions permit.  

 

Affected guests will receive direct communication from Etihad confirming the status of their flight and outlining available options. Guests are encouraged to ensure their contact details are up to date and monitor their email for further updates.

 

Guests are advised to: 

  • Check their flight status at etihad.com before travelling to the airport.
  • Ensure their contact details are up to date in their booking.
  • Guests holding Etihad tickets issued on or before 28 February 2026, with original travel dates up to 21 March 2026, may rebook free of charge onto Etihad-operated flights up to 15 May 2026.
  • Guests on all Etihad flights until 21 March may request a refund at etihad.com/en/help/refund-form or through their travel agent.
  • Guests who booked through a travel agent should contact their agent directly.

Frequently asked questions

Here’s a description of each flight status:

  • Departed: The flight has left its point of origin.

  • Delayed: We’re expecting this flight to depart later than planned. The original departure time will be crossed out, and the new departure and arrival times will be in red.

  • Scheduled: We’re expecting this flight to depart as planned.

  • On time: Shown on the day of travel, this indicates the flight is operating at the planned time.  

  • Arrived: This flight has landed on time.

  • Arrived late: This flight landed later than scheduled. The planned arrival time will be crossed out, and the actual arrival time will be in red.

  • Awaiting response: Information for this flight is yet to be updated. Please check again later.

If both of your flights are operated by Etihad, we’ll manage this for you, so there’s nothing you need to do. We’ll rebook your connecting flight and you’ll be able to view the amended details at etihad.com/manage.    

 

If your connecting flight is operated by another airline, please contact them for assistance.

It is rare that Etihad flights are cancelled, and we apologise for the inconvenience. 

 You’ll receive an email letting you know what options are available to you next. If you have a connecting flight, options for rebooking your entire itinerary will be provided.     

 If your flight is cancelled more than three days in advance, you’ll find alternative flight options at etihad.com/manage. For cancellations from two days before departure, our team will actively assist you in rebooking your flight.
