How to get involved

Join us on our journey to transform the world of flying. Together, we’ll make sure we leave the planet better than we found it.

Make changes today for a better tomorrow

As an airline, we’re doing things differently, and rewarding thoughtful travellers, like you, who choose to do things differently too.

Coming soon, every time you make a conscious choice to do something good for the world – like taking less baggage on board – you’ll earn a badge and Etihad Guest Tier Miles.

If you’re not an Etihad Guest member, sign up to join our community of sustainable travellers today.

Fly greener with us

You shouldn’t have to choose between flying and planet Earth, and neither should the generation after you. Now, you don’t have to.

Mindful miles

If your miles balance is growing again, consider donating them to a green cause. Even a few miles make a big difference.

Seven steps to becoming a sustainable traveller

Wondering what small steps you can take to become a more eco-conscious traveller? Here are a few suggestions …

1. Opt for smaller cities

Stay outside of major cities and support local communities where there are less tourists.

2. On your bike

Often the best way to experience a new place is to cycle or walk around – it’s a lot kinder to the planet too.

3. Pick a green taxi

If you need to take a car, pick an electric taxi to help minimise emissions when you travel.

4. BYO Headphones

Reduce plastic waste when you fly by carrying your own headphones on board.

5. Shut it off

You turn your devices off on board, so why not do the same at home? Shut down standby electronics when they’re not in use.

6. Rent it, don’t buy it

Don’t splurge on a new holiday wardrobe and rent your clothes instead. It’s fashionable and sustainable.

7. Say no to plastic

Carry a reusable water bottle and coffee cup when you travel and say no to plastic whilst you’re away.
