Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has been named the Best Long Haul Airline for the fifth year running at the 2015 Irish Travel Industry Awards.
The prestigious black-tie
ceremony took place at the Mansion House in Dublin on Thursday (22 January)
night with the event hosted by TV and radio personality, Miriam
Beatrice Cosgrove, Etihad
Airways’ General Manager Ireland, said: "We are delighted to be crowned
Best Long Haul Airline yet again at the Irish Travel Industry Awards.
"The award recognises the
world-class service and product Etihad Airways is proud to offer out of Dublin
and onto more than 100 global destinations.
Ms Cosgrove continued: "We
thank Irish travel agents for their strong support and look forward to once
again working closely with them throughout 2015. The trade play a key part in
promoting and selling Etihad Airways in Ireland."
Etihad Airways offers 9,000 seats
per week on double daily flights between Dublin and Abu Dhabi, with onward
connections to a range of destinations worldwide.
These include cities in the
Middle East, Africa and Asia, such as Bangkok, Beijing, Brisbane, Jakarta,
Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Melbourne, Perth, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.
