How does Rail & Fly work?
If you’re flying with Etihad Airways to or from Frankfurt, Munich or Dusseldorf, book an onward or return connection by train to or from any station on the Deutsche Bahn
rail network throughout Germany.
- Booking your flight online, choose the city you’d like to fly from and select ‘Rail n Fly’ as the destination
- If you're departing from Germany, select Rail n Fly as the point of departure and choose your destination
- The train times you see are subject to change, but you can find the confirmed timetable at bahn.de
- When you’ve booked, we’ll send you an email with your booking reference numbers – you’ll receive a separate reference number for each guest and leg of your journey. This is not your ticket
- Visit accessrail.com to view and print your Rail & Fly tickets or print them up to 72 hours in advance at a Deutsche Bahn station
- When you arrive at the airport, collect your baggage before you make your way to the train station
- Present your train ticket and flight schedule when you arrive at the train station
- Sit back and travel by train to any destination on the Deutsche Bahn rail network
Depending on the leg of your journey, your train tickets are valid one day before departure, the day of departure, the day of arrival and one day after arrival only.
We have teamed up with the French National Railway (SNCF) to offer you convenient TGV rail connectivity beyond Paris.
When flying with us to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), you can opt for an onward connection on SNCF’s 2,000km high-speed Train à Grande Vitesse (TGV) rail to cities around France and to Brussels, Belgium.
- Booking your flight online, select the city you’d like to fly from and select ‘TGV’ as the destination
- When you arrive at Paris-Charles de Gaulle TGV station, head to Terminal 2C to check in for your Etihad flight
- The train times you see are subject to change, but you can find the confirmed timetable at sncf.com
- When you’ve booked, we’ll email your reservation to you. This is not your ticket
- When you arrive at the airport, collect your baggage before you make your way to the train station
- When you arrive at Paris-Charles de Gaulle TGV station, take the free light rail CDGVAL service to Terminal 2A to check in for your Etihad flight
- Present your reservation at the TGV Air counter at the SNCF train station in the city you selected to travel from – you can do this from one day until 15 minutes before the train departure time (no seat reservation is necessary)
- On presentation of your reservation and a valid form of ID, you will be given all of the TGV Air rail travel documents for your journey
- Sit back and travel by train to any destination on the SNCF rail network
- Depending on the leg of your journey, your train tickets are valid one day before departure, the day of departure, the day of arrival and one day after arrival only
