Through our Al Watani programme, we partner closely with UAE-based suppliers and SMEs, underscoring our long-term commitment to sustainable growth in the UAE.
Al Watani supports our suppliers by:
- Considering local operations, Emirati talent and sustainable practices
- Using ICV‑certified scores to inform fair and transparent sourcing decisions
- Supporting SMEs in meeting aviation‑grade standards
- Embedding local value into long‑term supplier relationships
By the end of 2025, almost 92% of Etihad’s addressable procurement spend was directed locally, and Al Watani had certified 2,500 suppliers. Of those local suppliers, 846 were owned or partnered by women, 184 were owned by People of Determination, and 869 were employers of PoD talent.
