Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), will resume flights from Abu Dhabi to Peshawar, Pakistan, and Erbil, Iraq in December.

Services to both cities will resume with four flights per week starting from Monday, 1 December 2014 to Peshawar and Thursday, 4 December 2014 to Erbil.

The decision has been made after a careful review of operational elements and the security situation in each of the two cities, Erbil and Peshawar, in collaboration with the GCAA.

Services to Erbil and Peshawar will both be operated using a two-class Airbus A320 aircraft configured to carry 136 passengers, with 16 seats in Business Class and 120 seats in Economy Class.

The airline offers services to three other destinations in Pakistan including Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.

It also serves the Iraqi cities of Basra and Baghdad which continue to operate as normal.

Etihad Airways' flights to and from Peshawar, and to and from Erbil can be booked from today on www.etihad.com, through Etihad Airways Contact Centres, or via travel agents.
