Following the closure of London Heathrow Airport (LHR) caused by a severe power outage, Etihad has cancelled the following flights to and from London on Friday 21 March:

 

  • EY62 London Heathrow to Abu Dhabi

 

  • EY63 Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow
  • EY64 London Heathrow to Abu Dhabi

 

  • EY65 Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow
  • EY66 London Heathrow to Abu Dhabi

 

  • EY67 Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow

 

The EY68 service from London Heathrow (LHR) to Abu Dhabi (AUH) will be delayed until further notice.

 

Guests travelling to or from London today are urged to check the status of their flight on etihad.com and customers are asked to ensure their contact details are correct by visiting Manage Your Booking to receive updates.

 

Etihad is working closely with guests affected to notify them of the changes to their itineraries and assist them with their travel.

Zayed International Airport: Location, parking and more

Zayed International Airport is located close to Khalifa City A, about 30 minutes from the city centre of Abu Dhabi. 
There are 1,500 long-term parking spaces and over 3,000 short-term parking spaces. And if you’re dropping someone off or picking them up, you can do so from directly outside the terminal building.

Here’s a description of each flight status:

  • Departed: The flight has left its point of origin.

  • Delayed: We’re expecting this flight to depart later than planned. The original departure time will be crossed out, and the new departure and arrival times will be in red.

  • Scheduled: We’re expecting this flight to depart as planned.

  • On time: Shown on the day of travel, this indicates the flight is operating at the planned time.  

  • Arrived: This flight has landed on time.

  • Arrived late: This flight landed later than scheduled. The planned arrival time will be crossed out, and the actual arrival time will be in red.

  • Awaiting response: Information for this flight is yet to be updated. Please check again later.

If both of your flights are operated by Etihad, we’ll manage this for you, so there’s nothing you need to do. We’ll rebook your connecting flight and you’ll be able to view the amended details at etihad.com/manage.

It is rare that Etihad flights are cancelled, and we apologise for the inconvenience.

 If your flight is cancelled more than three days in advance, you’ll find alternative flight options at etihad.com/manage. For cancellations from two days before departure, our team will actively assist you in rebooking your flight.
