Along with the launch of the video, Damon Hill, shared his thoughts on Abu Dhabi, the circuit and racing experience. He said: “As fans can’t be at the circuit this year, these 360 videos will help fans to immerse themselves into the action of the Formula 1™ Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
“Yas Marina Circuit is quite unique in that it’s a purpose-built circuit, it’s also a purpose-built venue so it’s got a marina and is surrounded by fantastic hotels. It comes alive when the Grand Prix is on with lightshows, and there’s a fantastic vibe at the circuit. It’s also a part of Abu Dhabi which is supported by lots of other activities and there’s plenty to do. It’s a great place for a holiday and a great place to go for a Grand Prix.
“One of the most appealing things about Abu Dhabi for a Northern European is its warmth. You can guarantee it’s going to be nice and warm during the day, and in the evening, when the sun goes down and they have the race, you get this fantastic sunset at the end of the race. It’s a perfect venue to round off the Grand Prix season in style.”
