What is Home Check-in?

Check in your bags, pick your seat and collect your boarding pass all from the comfort of your home or hotel in Abu Dhabi. When it’s time to fly, skip the queues and make your way to the airport hassle-free. Home check-in is powered by MORAFIQ and complimentary with The Residence and First deluxe tickets.

How does it work?

Home Check-in is available for all guests travelling from Zayed International Airport – whether it’s at the start of your trip or before your flight home. Everyone who’s travelling must be available during home check-in, including infants and children.

The service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so the agents can arrive whenever you need them.

Register and book

Download the Morafiq app, register, then book a slot 24-5 hours before your flight. Alternatively, call, email, or WhatsApp Morafiq support. If you’ve booked The Residence or a First Deluxe ticket, contact Etihad Concierge to book.

They’ll verify your travel documents, issue boarding passes and bag tags, and collect your bags. You select your seat and extras.

Head to the airport

With check-in done, head to the airport, bag-free. Skip the queues and proceed straight to your gate. On arrival at your destination, collect your bags as usual.

Did you know?

If you need to check in more than 10 bags, you can simply pay for more baggage when our agents arrive. Additional bags are charged at AED 35. Only card payments are accepted.

Frequently asked questions

Home check-in does not include transport to the airport.

If you’re travelling in The Residence or on a First Deluxe ticket, Etihad Concierge will be able to arrange this for you.

Otherwise, please check our transfer options to arrange transport to Zayed International Airport.

We’ll make sure that your bags are loaded onto the flight that you have been re-booked to, or off-loaded and returned to you at a fee of AED 40 per luggage piece.
