What am I covered for?

AXA offers two levels of cover to keep you protected when you’re away from home; FlySafe and FlySafe Plus. 

You’ll find all information in your policy document, which will be emailed to you along with your insurance certificate.

FlySafe Plus

With FlySafe Plus, you’ll have the same cover as our FlySafe package, plus:

Remember to download your FlySafe or FlySafe Plus digital insurance card before you travel. It has all the details you need to know about your policy, and you can store it on your phone so you always have it to hand. The link to the digital card can be found in your confirmation email.

Who is eligible for travel insurance?

Both FlySafe and FlySafe Plus cover are available for residents of Bahrain, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Kuwait, and UAE, aged 79 years or younger. More countries will be added to the coverage list soon.

Trusted emergency medical assistance

Our trusted global partner, AXA, (with more than 50 years of experience , 300 doctors and nurses and a global network of 40,000 medical providers , will support you through any medical emergency whilst you are away from home . Will be there at every step of your case, from organizing transport to getting you home safely.

Access to a doctor wherever you are

With FlySafe Plus, you’ll have access to ‘Doctor Please!’, a service that offers remote medical consultation,

medical advice, and treatment options. You can book and manage appointments through the app and select your preferred language.

  • The Doctor Please! service provides direct access by phone, via call back or via the application (with video capabilities) to English, Spanish and Portuguese speaking doctors; 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
  • French speaking doctors are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. To contact them, you can request a callback, or speak to them via the app (with video capabilities from 8am to 8pm on weekdays)
  • German speaking doctors are available 8am to 9pm on weekdays or from 8am to 8pm on weekends. To contact them, you can request a callback, or speak to them via the app (with video capabilities from 8am to 8pm on weekdays)
  • Italian speaking doctors are available 8am to 8pm on weekdays. To contact them, you can request a callback, or speak to them via the app

If booking an appointment via the app with an English, Spanish, Portuguese, German or French speaking doctor, you can upload scans, tests results and medical reports.

After your appointment, your medical notes will be stored on the app. If you need a prescription, you can arrange it to be sent to a nearby pharmacy, or you can arrange delivery via the app.

To submit a claim, please visit within 30 days of the end of your trip.

Please make sure to have your policy details, including your policy number, and Etihad Airways booking confirmation handy.

A representative will review your claim and explain what type of information they need. You will need to fax or mail the claim form with any additional documentation. 

Claims will be processed within 21 days of receiving the required documentation.
